Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm belongs to the group of growth factors used in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, bedsores, chronic leg ulcers, and vascular ulcers. A diabetic foot ulcer is an open wound in diabetic patients that occurs due to uncontrolled diabetes.

It appears as a red crater on the skin. It mostly affects the bottom or top of the foot and tip of a toe.

Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm contains recombinant human epidermal growth factor which is a protein that stimulates cell growth. It acts by releasing a growth factor that can promote tissue repair, skin regeneration (formation of healthy skin), and accelerate wound healing. These effects help to reduce skin ulcers in diabetic foot ulcer patients.

Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm is meant for external use.It should be applied as a thin layer with a sterile cotton swab. In some cases, it may cause certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, rash, stomach pain, and pruritis. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist.

It is advisable to inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm. Avoid it if you are immune-compromised, pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you are on treatment with corticosteroids, immunosuppressants or immunostimulators.

Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm contains recombinant human epidermal growth factor, an endogenous growth factor that helps in wound healing and new cell production. It is a glycoprotein that binds to epidermal growth factor receptors, enhancing the processes responsible for cellular proliferation, new cell production, collagen synthesis, and reduced cell death, thereby amplifying wound healing and finding major application in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, bedsore, chronic leg ulcers and vascular ulcers.

Use Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm as advised by the doctor. Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm is for external use only.

Apply a thin layer with a cotton swab. Thoroughly wash your hands after application. Let the area air-dry before dressing.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder and HIV.

There is not enough literature on the effectsof alcohol on Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm. Exercise caution before taking alcohol with Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm. Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

Regen D 150 Gel 15 gm is not recommended for use by pregnant women.

·Limit the intake of salt and sugar in your diet. Keep your blood sugar under control.

·Cut back on foods that are high in fat and cholesterol. Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole-grain foods.

·Avoid tobacco use and smoking as this may aggravate your diabetic condition.

·It is important to wear appropriate footwear in case of a diabetic foot ulcer.

·Always use footwear indoors as well.

·Have your toenails cut off regularly by a trained pedicurist.

·Wash and dry your feet at least once every day in lukewarm water, paying special attention to the area between the toes.
